Mrs. Amy Evans, Second Grade Teacher
Mrs. Evans graduated from Bridgewater College with a degree in Early Childhood.
She began her teaching career at Fulks Run Elementary teaching fifth grade, then in 1998 she moved to John C. Myers Elementary to teach third grade. Mrs. Evans has been teaching for over 20 years and is currently teaching second grade.
Mrs. Anne Green, Second Grade Teacher
Mrs. Green is a local graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in Mount Jackson, Virginia, class of 1990. Upon completion of her high school requirements she attended James Madison University from 1990-1995, where she majored in French and minored in Early Childhood Education. She began her career at Plains Elementary in Timberville, Virginia where she taught from 1995 to 2008. She guided the students of the third grade here at JCMES from 2008-2016. She now joins the Second grade team.
Mrs. Green's favorite quote is a verse from her grandfather's favorite hymn and it reminds her that even small gestures can make a difference! "Brighten the corner where you are. Do not wait until some deed of greatness you may do,
do not wait to shed your light afar, to the many duties ever near you now be true. Brighten the corner where you are."
She enjoys spending family time with her husband Aaron, son Ryan and daughter Paige.
Mrs. Heather Harper, Second Grade Teacher
Mrs. Harper has been teaching second grade at John C. Myers Elementary since the fall of 2006.
She is a graduate of Broadway High School, class of 2001. She went on to graduate from Eastern Mennonite University with an Early Childhood degree.
She lives in Bergton with her husband Bryan and three daughters Kaleigh, Cassidy and Abby. She enjoys being with friends and family and spending time outside.
Mrs. Katee Lindsley, Second Grade Teacher
Mrs. Lindsley began her career at John C. Myers as a second grade teacher in the fall of the 2011-2012 school year. She is a graduate of Central High School in Woodstock, Virginia. Upon completion of her high school requirements she attended Longwood University in Farmville, Virgninia.
