Mrs. Jill Rice, Speech Pathologist
Mrs. Rice graduated from a small high school in Pennsylvania then went on to receive her B.S. degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She also completed courses to further her expertise in her field of study by completing the requirements for her M.S. degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University.
She started her career in Northcumberland County, Virginia with four years of service there. Since 1985, Mrs. Rice has served the students of Rockingham County Public Schools.
Her favorite quote comes from Arthur Ashe, "'Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can."
Ms. Laura Patton, ELL Tutor
John C. Myers welcomes Ms. Patton for the 2016-17 school year! She will be serving us as ELL Tutor for John C. Myers and Plains Elementary. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where she received her Masters in ESL and Multicultural Education. She states, "I have found that ESL perfectly combines my love of languages and culture with my love for children and learning." When she isn't at school , she enjoys running, skiing and hiking. She is looking forward to a great year at John C. Myers Elementary.
