Ms. Susan Rhodes, Teacher Assistant
Mrs. Rhodes is a 1974 graduate of Broadway High School. She went on to attend Eastern Mennonite University (EMC) where she graduated in 1978 with a BS in Early Childhood Ed.
She taught from 1978-2010 at Plains Elementary after which she retired after 32 years teaching at the Timberville, Va school.
She has worked as an assistant at JCMES since Oct. 2010.
She enjoys being with family and friends, gardening, reading, and her pets!
Mrs. Amy Hoover, Teacher Assistant
Mrs. Hoover graduated from Harrisonburg High School. She lives in Broadway with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys time with her family, especially going on trips to Disney World and the beach.
Mrs. Hoover has been working for Rockingham County Schools for several years as a teacher assistant. She has had the privilege of working students individually as well as with small groups.
She says, "There is an amazing sense of family and community at John C. Myers. I love being a part of a common goal to teach the children and produce successful learners."
Ms. Elizabeth Riggleman, Teacher Assistant
Ms. Riggleman is a 2001 graduate of Broadway High School. She went on to Bridgewater College where she graduated in 2005 with a B.S. degree in Physical Science and Mathematics.
She started her career at the Roberta Webb Child Care Center in Pre-K, then Brethren Woods Outdoor School and has served as a substitute teacher with Rockingham County Schools and a Long Term Substitute at Central High School SCPS.
Favorite Summer Activity: volunteer with Mid Atlantic Burn Camp

Ms. Elizabeth Getz, Teacher Assistant
Mr. Steve Phillips, Teacher Assistant
Mr. Phillips is a graduate of Parkersburg HS (Class of 1995). Upon graduation he went on to West Virginia University (WVU) and finished in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. In addition to his BS degree he completed requirements for his Master of Science degree in Athletic Coaching from WVU in 2002 . Mr. Philiips teaching and coaching career:West Virginia University: Taught Introduction to Strength Training for 4 years.

Mr. Phillips favorite quote is, "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve." He says, "It reminds me that there are no limits to what a person can do if they are only willing to believe."
He enjoys time with his wife Jennifer and two children.
Mrs. Ashley Formica, Teacher Assistant
Mrs. Formica graduated from Old Dominion University in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree. She originates from Broadway, Virginia where she lives with her husband, Jeff and 3 children. The family enjoys camping, swimming and playing sports. Previous to joining the John C. Myers team, Ms. Formica taught Pre-K at Stepping Stones in Broadway. She says, "I am honored to be here!.
Mrs. Chasity Allen, Teacher Assistant
Mrs. Allen joined the JCMES team during the 2016-17 school year. Originally from North Carolina, she, along with her husband and three children, relocated to Broadway due to a change in jobs by her husband. She previously worked in her school district for 10 years. She really enjoys working with elementary aged children and looks forward to a wonderful start at John C. Myers Elementary!
