Families, you are in for a treat! Our annual class auction plates are ready for your viewing pleasure! A giant shoutout to our PTO and Erin Sauder for their work creating these masterpieces. Each plate will be available in the online auction that begins March 7th. Watch the video here.
Would you please assist our amazing office staff in helping to keep things running smoothly? Each afternoon we receive a large number of transportation changes and we are finding difficulty keeping up in the later hours of the day when things are naturally busier. We kindly request that you now send transportation changes prior to noon. We understand that life requires exceptions and will certainly accommodate you when occasional changes must occur later than 12. Families are welcome to email jcmesnotes@rockingham.k12.va.us for transportation changes or may always call the school. Thank you!

Friday, March 1 - Walk to School 7:45-8:15am - The weather looks chilly but we’ll be outside kicking off our day with some exercise and fresh air. Join us if that works for your family!
Friday, March 1 Youth Art Month Kick Off 5:00-7:00pm - We are so excited to partner with Hess Financial located in downtown Harrisonburg to show off some of our students’ amazing artwork. Mrs. Flores sent home information with any students that chose to submit their artwork for the show. Artwork will be on display (some framed and some in albums) at Hess Financial the month of March and a special open house will take place on March 1st from 5-7pm during downtown Harrisonburg’s First Friday event! Anyone interested in seeing the art show may also visit during Hess Financial business hours (8-5pm M-T) (8-4pm F) to see the art work displayed throughout the month of March.

Thursday, March 7 - Tuesday, March 12 - PTO Spring Auction is coming soon! We are so appreciative of parent and staff assistance with outreach for the auction. We're still taking in donations if you know of a business or local artisan that would like to support the school. Contact Mallory at jcmesauction@gmail.com or 540-246-6242 with questions. Auction goes live on the Green Valley Auction site from March 7-March 12th. There are over 150 items to bid on including fun teacher packages, gift certificates, household goods, estate & financial planning packages, and even a vacation package for 8 people in the Bahamas! Mark your calendars now for auction pickup Friday, 3/15 from 4-7PM.
Tuesday, March 12 - Thursday, March 14 - PreK/K Registration - Please help us spread the word about our upcoming PreK and Kindergarten registration dates for next school year. PreK students must turn 4 by September 30 in order to be eligible (age 5 by 9/30/24 for kindergarten). Families will register online and are asked to bring their paperwork into school during the registration days. You can direct families of rising PreK or K students to our school website where all of the details and information will be live starting next week.
Wednesday, March 13 - Picture day is coming! Our spring pictures will be taken on Wednesday, March 13th. These are full length pictures with a spring background. Picture orders will be available online afterward.
