Dear JCMES Families,
Happy New Year! We hope you had a restful and joyful holiday season! We are thrilled to begin the second half of the school year with all of you and your Jakes! It is always refreshing to reconnect after a break, and we are looking forward to the energy and enthusiasm that will fill our halls as we dive into 2025.
Typically, we do not send our family email on Sundays, but we wanted to check in today with some upcoming dates for January as we all begin to prepare for a smooth return to school. We also wanted to acknowledge the exciting weather forecast, with snow on the way tonight and Monday! We are sure many of our Jakes are already buzzing with excitement, and looking forward to spending a fun day out in the snow tomorrow!

Monday, January 6th: No school! SNOW DAY!!
Wednesday, January 8th: PreK-2nd Book Cart ($0.25 per book)
Thursday, January 9th: 3-5 Book Cart ($0.25 per book)
Friday, January 10th: Walk to School morning @ 7:45-8:13
Tuesday January 14th: PTO Meeting @ 6:30 in the library
Friday, January 17th: No school, teacher workday
Monday, January 20th: No school, Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Tuesday, January 21st: Domino’s Spirit Night - use code DN6 when ordering
Friday, January 24th: Spirit Day: Hat Day! Wear your favorite or a silly hat!
We are so excited to welcome our Jakes back into the building as soon as the snow clears! We have missed the joy, energy, and laughter they bring, and we can’t wait to greet them with love and open arms as we dive into the second half of the year!
