Dear JCMES Families,
What an exciting week it has been here at JCMES! Our Dr. Seuss dress-up spirit days have brought so much fun and creativity, and it has been a joy to see the fantastic outfits our students have been wearing! We are also rolling with PreK and Kindergarten registration this week, and tomorrow’s registration will continue from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If you know any families with rising PreK or Kindergarten students, please encourage them to complete the online registration and visit us during these hours.
Additionally, we cannot wait to see our 2nd-grade students shine tomorrow evening at their music performance, and we are excited to welcome the families who will be joining us!

"Touch a Truck": Friday, April 11th
We need the help of the Broadway community! On the morning of Friday, April 11th, we will be holding a "Touch a Truck" event as part of our Walk to School morning and our Community Day activities. We would love to have vehicles of all kinds come for our JCMES students to check out — construction vehicles, trucks of all kinds, emergency response vehicles, tractors, etc. If you or someone you know has a vehicle to bring on the morning of Friday, April 11th, from 7:30 to 9:30 AM, please email Jill Byler at jbyler@rockingham.k12.va.us to reserve your spot.
📝PreK & Kindergarten Registration (March 6 @ 9:00 AM-2:00 PM)
PreK students must be 4 by September 30, 2025
Kindergarten students must be 5 by September 30, 2025
Families should register online at rcps.net and bring required paperwork to school.
🎶 2nd Grade Music Performance (March 6 @ 6:30 PM)
Join us tomorrow for an evening of music as our second graders showcase their hard work!
📚 Book Cart – March 12 & 13
Students can purchase books for just $0.25 each during their designated Book Cart day!

📖 Book Fair in the Library- March 17-21
A great time to pick up some new books and encourage reading at home!

Time for a fresh school picture! This includes full-length portraits.
🎨 Family Fun Night – March 20 @ 6:30 PM
This rescheduled event will highlight STEM and Specials with hands-on activities for the whole family, and we'll also be hosting our JCMES Art Show that night! Come explore and enjoy the creativity of our talented students!
