Dear JCMES Families,
We hope you're having a great week! A quick reminder that there will be no school for students on Friday, April 18 or Monday, April 21. As we head into the long weekend, please encourage your child to take a look through our overflowing Lost and Found. When the seasons change, we have lots of items that are left behind as it warms up throughout the day. If it’s more convenient, feel free to email jcmesnotes or an administrator and we’d be happy to check for any missing items on your behalf.
Here’s what’s coming up at JCMES:
25-26 Class Placement Feedback Form
We’d love your input! Please use this form to provide input on your child's class placement for the upcoming school year. Class placements are created based on a complex list of factors including student academic ability to be thoughtful and balanced throughout each class, related services, student social emotional needs and placing students in classrooms where there are other students with similar interests in order for them to have peers to relate to. Please do not make requests for specific teachers. We will collect input forms through this week.
SCA Spring Swap – April 26
Clean out your closets and join us for the Spring Swap on Friday, April 26th, from 8–11am in the JCMES cafeteria. Families are invited to come browse and take home gently used clothes, household items, toys, and more—all free! It’s a great way to share and support one another.
Spring Family Picnics will be held the last week of April. These informal class picnics are open to family members that would like to join their child for lunch outside in the front of the building. Classes will come outside at their usual lunch time on their assigned day and families can pack or bring a lunch and enjoy some sunshine and quality time with their child. We have some picnic tables available but it’s best to bring a blanket or chairs to sit on too. We do not advertise individual class days/times publicly so please check with your child’s teacher to find out the day of the week. No sign up needed!
