Spring Family Picnics are coming up next week, and we’re looking forward to welcoming families to enjoy lunch outside with their child! More info below. Also, registration Snapcodes for the 2025–2026 school year will be emailed to families this Friday afternoon by the division. The email will come from PowerSchool Enrollment and last year the subject line read ‘RCPS Returning Student Registration’.
Please take a few minutes to complete your child’s registration—knocking it out now means no reminder emails popping up in your inbox all summer! Plus, it helps our staff tremendously as we plan for next year. Thank you in advance!
Spring Family Picnics – April 28–May 1
These informal picnics give families a chance to join their child for lunch outside on the front lawn. Classes will come out during their regular lunchtime on their assigned day.
Bring a blanket or lawn chairs (picnic tables are limited), pack a lunch or bring something special, and enjoy a little sunshine and quality time! Students will still go through the lunch line with their classes to pick up a school lunch and then meet their family member outside in the front. It helps for your child to know ahead of time if you are bringing their lunch instead. If you can’t make it, no worries! We have special community members from former teachers, our school resource officer to town officers that will be joining each day to enjoy lunch with any student.
Please check with your child’s teacher for their assigned picnic day. No sign-up needed.
Teacher Appreciation Week – May 5–9
Help us celebrate our amazing staff during Teacher Appreciation Week! We’re planning something special each day and could use help with a few items such as paper products, drinks, and some desserts for Friday, May 9. All donations can be dropped off at the front office.
We’re leaning into our theme this year—“Celebrating Staff Across the Decades”—starting with the 1950s on Monday and wrapping up with the 90s on Friday. Fun fact…we have one staff member born in the 2000’s. But we won’t reveal who the baby of the family is just yet! ➡️ Click here to sign up!
