Today, on Veterans Day, we pause to honor and thank all who have served our country with courage and dedication. November is a month filled with opportunities to reflect on gratitude—not only for our veterans, but also for the everyday moments and people who make a difference in our lives. As we move through this season of thankfulness, we invite you to join us in celebrating kindness, connection, and community in big and small ways.

Online Book eFair
John C. Myers Library is hosting a Follett online book eFair. The online book fair will run from November 3rd - 16th. All purchases can be made using this link and enter our Book eFair code: 45354. This is a great opportunity to purchase books to help benefit our school. Thank you for your support!
Book Cart Update
Due to a scheduling conflict, the Book Cart will be postponed until next week. Nov. 19th, PreK - 2nd. Nov. 20th, 2nd - 5th
Class Pictures
Class pictures and make up pictures will be held Nov. 13th. Please let your child’s teacher know if you want your child to have a picture retake. Class pictures can be ordered from strawbridge.net using the code below:
Reading Aloud—Anytime, Anywhere!
Reading aloud is a simple and meaningful way to support your child’s growth as a reader—and it can be fun for everyone involved! Whether your child is just beginning to read or already flying through chapter books, sharing their voice builds confidence and connection. While bedtime might be the right time, there’s no “right” way to do it—just find moments that work for your family.
Here are a few everyday ideas:
Let your child read to you while you're driving.
Invite them to read a recipe while you cook together.
Encourage reading to a younger sibling, pet, or favorite stuffed animal.
Try muting the TV and reading the closed captions out loud.
Share a short story or poem with a grandparent or neighbor over the phone.
Every little bit counts, and your support makes a big difference!
